Home Estate History Residents Area

Lawton Hall after completion of the redevelopment.

Lawton Hall Estate is a private gated residential community located in the south Cheshire countryside. The redevelopment of Lawton Hall was completed in 2004 and the estate comprises of 34 high quality residencies, these being a mixture of detached, semi detached and mews properties alongside a number of luxury apartments situated in the Hall itself.

This site has been developed with the aim of providing useful information about Lawton Hall Estate to current residents, potential buyers and anyone else with an interest in the Estate.

Each of the properties on the estate was designed and built to complement the period features of the main hall. The architects worked closely with English Heritage and Congleton Borough Council to ensure that the development is as sympathetic as possible to the existing buildings within the estate.

Evidence of this approach can be found both around the estate and within each property, for example, around the site the use of block paved roads, wrought iron cheshire railings and traditional planting add to the character of the estate. Individually each property boasts wooden sash windows, slate roof tiles, high ceilings, elegant coving and deep skirting boards, features not often found in new housing developments.

This attention to detail culminated with the Estate attaining the prestigious Gold prize for the Best Development at the 2004 What House? Awards.
